1. VISION:-
To train and produce disciplined and knowledgeable young men and women to enter the tertiary institutions and the job markets.
2. MISSION: –
(i) Creating disciplined school environment for both staff and students.
(ii) Providing conducive teaching and learning conditions to achieve academic excellence.
3. BRIEF HISTORY OF INSTITUTION: –
Adanwomase Senor High school started as a co-educational institution in 1972 and was absorbed into the public system in 1977 with student population of seventy (70), comprising 36 boarders and 34 day students. Teaching staff strength was six (6) while non-teaching stood at 19 with MR. AKUOKO-DARKWA as the acting headmaster. The school was housed in a five-unit classroom block and the present administration block was used for administrative purposes. Currently, the school has 66 teaching and 60 non-teaching personnel.
Location: – The school is located at Adanwomase, Kwabre District of Ashanti.
4. STATUS OF INSTITUTION AND FACILITIES: –
The school is both Day and Boarding.
5. MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS:-
i. Emerged best school in English Language, 2008 WASSCE results in Kwabre District, Ashanti Region
ii. Qualified for the Regional Milo games, 2009/2010
iii. Poetry Recital, 4th position in Ashanti Region SRC competition, February 2010
iv. Emerged 3rd in Regional Independence Day Choral Music Competition in March 2010
6. SCHOOL FACILITIES:-
i. Academic:-
(a) Classrooms:-The school has 21 classrooms but inadequate and not of standard.
(b) Laboratories:-Science and ICT:. The two are improvised.
(c) Library:-Improvised
ii. Non academic:-
The school has only a football field which is not up to standard.
