4. BRIEF HISTORY OF INSTITUTION
Akokoaso Senior High Technical School as it stands now was a junior secondary school which was upgraded to the status of a secondary School (Traditional five-year secondary school) on the 1st September 1984. The school is situated at Akim Akokoaso near Akim –Oda within the Akyemansa District of the Eastern Region.
STATUS OF INSTITUTION
The school has Hostels for boys and girls. The students in the Hostels are fed three times (3 x) a day by a qualified Matron and staff.

5. MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT OVER THE YEARS:
The 2008 WASSCE Results is one of the major achievements of the school in recent times. The seventy-four (074) candidates who were presented for that year’s WASSCE scored 100%. Below is the break down of some of the Results;
English Language – 100% (Grades ranging from C to D)
Management-In-Living – 100% (Grades ranging from B to D)
Technical Drawing – 100% (Grades ranging from A to C)
Woodwork – 100% (Grades ranging from A to C)
General Agric. – 100% (Grades ranging from B to D)
Biology – 100% (Grades ranging from B to D)
Three (3) of the candidates that year qualified for admission into the University and a good number of them gained admissions into other tertiary institutions.

a. The academic facilities include:
(i) Thirteen (13) classrooms. Seven (7) of the classrooms are turned into Hostels facilities, Library and Science Laboratory.

(iii) Dining Hall
