To make this school a first class centre of learning in the country. To improve teaching and learning so as to ensure academic excellence and sound moral training.

To train people to satisfy the manpower needs of the country. To provide people with knowledge, skills, ideas and competences that would ensure the social, political, cultural and economic development of the nation.
To equip people with the requisite technological knowledge that would fit them into the fast changing world of technology.

4. BRIEF HISTORY OF INSTITUTION
Assin Manso Senior High School was one of the thirty – four Teacher Training Colleges established by Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s Government on 26th November 1965 to train teachers for the country’s expanded educational system. By a government decision, the training college was converted into a secondary school in September 1971. The secondary school which started with seventy students under the headship of Mr. T.E.K. Arhinful now has a student population of one thousand five hundred and twenty-six.

5. MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS
i) SSCE
The highest academic achievement in the SSCE was in 2005 when a science student obtained four As and five Bs. The said student is now a medical officer with the Ministry of Health.
ii) WASSCE
Students’ performance in the WASSCE continues to show a marked improvement. More significant is the improvement in the academic performance of female students. In the WASSCE 2009 for example, female students topped the list of the best students, with some female students obtaining the highest grades (A1/B2) in Mathematics (Core) and Mathematics (Elective).
iii) Regional Games
In 2005, the school’s Volley Ball Team emerged the Central Regional Champions. The team represented the region in the Milo Games held in the same year in Koforidua. At the zonal level, the school’s Volley Ball Team has been the Champions for the past decade. In the 2010 edition of the Central Region Schools and Colleges Games, a student from the school broke the fourteen year old record set in discus in 1996. In the national champions held in Kumasi in 2010, the same student from this school emerged the champion in discus.
The school’s female football team is the zonal champions. The team placed third in the regional football championships held in 2010.

In our effort to develop co – curricular activities tutors in the department have formed the following educational clubs:
