The Compass, Pickaxe, and Protractor symbolize the school’s predilection for Practical skills acquisition.
The Book exuding light is the symbol for knowledge. Altogether therefore, the crest is saying that, with our cocoa, we shall acquire knowledge for national development through practical skill acquisition.
Our motto is ‘’HEN BERE ARA NI ‘’ literally meaning ‘’This is our only time’’ In other words, ‘’Our only Opportunity, is Now’’.
4 BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL:
The school opened on 25th February 1991 with 11 Boys and 2 Girls. Mr. Thomas N. K. Ewoniah was the first Headmaster. Barely two months later, i.e. on the 18th of April 1991, the Headmaster handed over the school to Mr. J. W. Mann who was in acting capacity. The Teaching staff consisted mostly of National Service Persons and a few permanent ones such as; Messrs Eric Young, R. S. Opoku, Emmanuel K. Buadu and the Headmaster himself. At the time, only 6 structures were in place namely; A two – room Administration Block, A carpentry/woodwork Technical Department, an Agric Laboratory, a Secretarial block, 2 staff bungalows, a 2 – Unit classroom block and a Generator plant. As at September 1993, total student enrolment stood at 55.
Mr. Nyamson embarked on enrolment drive. In November 2000, the school had an Open Day attended by Nana Nkuah Okumdom II, Omahene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area and Nana Aforo Kwaw II, Chief of Debiso. In April 2001, a violent rainstorm blew out the roofs of the Administration block, the secretarial block and the Technical block. With help from AESL, Takoradi and the then Juaboso – Bia District Assembly, the structures were re-roofed. In 2003, the Juaboso – Bia District built a 2 – bedroom bungalow for the Headmaster and a 3 – Unit classroom block for the school. That was when enrolment went up to 127 students with 8 masters.
By the time Mr.Emmanuel K. Nyamson was leaving office in 2006, the said two – bedroom Headmaster’s bungalow, plus the three – unit classroom block, and an Isuzu Pick – up, were added to the existing assets of the school.
The incumbent Headmaster took over the school in January 2007 when the population was 208 students and 11 masters.
