BUNKPURUGU SENIOR HIGH TECHNICAL SCHOOL

1. VISION

To be the best Senior High School in three Northern Region that can be compared with any Senior High School in Ghana in the field of academia, sports and spiritual growth as the motto of the school reads “Banu te yeko” Knowledge is power.

2. MISSION

To identify and develop to the fullest the potential of every student who passes through the school in academic, sports social life, and in every aspect that the world consider best for mankind.

3. SHORT HISTORY OF SCHOOL

The present Bunkpurugu Senior High/Technical metamorphosed 1991 from then Bunkpurugu Middle Day School which as its product:  The yunyoo-rana yamyia Tooka II, paramount chief of the yunyoo traditional area he was also a Deputy Regional Minister Northern Region, The Pib – rana, Banzoa III, Paramount Chief of the Binde Traditional Area, Mr. Jatuat Dukper, a Medical Assistant Educationist and chairman of the District CAMFED Committee, Mr. Magti Dubik  of ITTC regional boss in the upper, west region, The Peg-yala-rana Kombat Parima one time regional Agriculture Nyundorgra Konlan, a mid wife of the Bunkpurugu Health Centre (late), Mr. Kumfin Jirijiri Officer in the Ghana Armed Forces based in Sunyani, Mr. Laar Philip Nanteb a region officer of the prison service in Tamale, Mozio-rana Wuni Zakari, current Headmaster of the school Mr. Wuni Zakari was a PNDC District Secretary for East Mamprusi Ddistrict-Gambaga, He was also a member o f the Consultative Council 1978 in Northern Region.  Mr. Jirijiri Jababu –  one time tutor of Tamale Training College.
