a. Establishment
The school originally known as Ejisu Secondary Technical School, was established on 13th September, 1970, by the Ejisu Youth Association to offer education at low cost to the children of Ejisu and surrounding towns and villages.
b. Government Intervention
When Government was invited to absorb the school into the public system, it gave two conditions, namely:
(i) allocation of a large piece of land for the school at no cost to government
(ii) provision of a block of six classrooms
In response, Nana Diko Pim III gave out a 120 – acre piece of land at Bafoso. The classrooms were constructed through communal labour and voluntary contributions. The school was consequently absorbed into the Public system in September, 1973 and re-named Ejisuman Secondary School. The government added two blocks of five classrooms each and eight bungalows.
