ENYAN DENKYIRA SENIOR HIGH TECHNICAL SCHOOL
1. GENERAL INTRODUCTION
(i) NAME: Enyan Denkyira Senior High Technical School, called EDENSTECH for short, is one of the public second cycle institutions in Ghana.
(ii) LOCATION:
Enyan Denkyira Senior High Technical School is situated in Enyan Denkyira in the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam District of the Central Region. Enyan Denkyira is on the main Ajumako – Mankessim road.
(iv) BRIEF HISTORY:
The school was established in January, 1991 with 178 students. The school started with five (5) teaching staff including the Headmaster, and nine (9) non-teaching staff. The first Headmaster of the school was Mr. George Tachie-Menson.
The land of the school was given out free of charge by three (3) family heads of Enyan Denkyira namely; Ebusuapanyin Yaw Egyin, of Agona clan, Opanyin Kofi Sam of Dehyena clan and Mr. D. E. B. Crentsil of Twidan clan.
2. MISSION STATEMENT:
We believe in imparting quality education and inculcating moral values to produce a well-balanced and disciplined students with committed teachers backed by effective supervision and supported by interested community.
3. VISION OF THE SCHOOL:
The school hopes to harness all resources to enhance high academic standard among students thereby training them to meet the entry requirements of any tertiary institution in the country and also give good moral training to students as well as unearthing their talents in sports.
4. PROGRAMMES OFFERED:
The school offers programmes in;
(a) Business with Accounting option;
(b) General Arts with French and Literature-In-English option, (c) Agriculture
(d) Technical with Woodwork option, and
(e) Home Economics

There are 19 classrooms in use.
The Home Economics and Technical Departments have separate blocks.
(iii) Dormitories:
There is a two-storey building housing the girls.
Status Of The School:
Enyan Denkyira Senior High Technical School is a Day school but the school has about half of the students population living on campus as boarders. The housing and feeding of students started three (3) years ago.
