Kalpohin Senior High School is situated in the heart of Tamale.  It is located adjacent to Kalpohin Estates.  Kalpohin Senior High School, now kwown as Kalpohin Senior High School was born out of the 1987 Educational Reform programme as one of the many newly established Senior High School to absorb the ever increasing number of students from the Junior High School (JHS).

It was established in 1991 as a mixed day school with an enrolment of one-hundred and eighty (180) students. This was made up of one-hundred and twenty three (123) boys and fifty-seven (57) girls with a teaching staff of nine (9)


The schools mission is to carry through the wider Ghana Education Service (GES) mission of providing relevant Education to all Ghanaians at the Senior High School level to enable them facilitate poverty reduction and to promote socio-economic growth.


The school in its vision is charged with implementing senior high education to achieve a high level quality tertiary level manpower by making education accessible to all.

The motto of the school is: ‘DISCIPLINE AND HARD WORK’ with a logo containing a Book, a cutlass and a broom signifying the Discipline and Hard Work.
