KLIKOR SENIOR HIGH TECHINCAL SCHOOL
The Klikor Senior High Technical School is established and charged with the responsibility to provide education for all children who qualify for Secondary School Education that will enable them acquire skills, with emphasis on Science Technology and Creativity. This will help them have increased access to job opportunities and prepare them to meet national Socio-economic challenges.
The mission of the Ministry of Education is to provide relevant education to all Ghanaians at all levels to enable them to:
– develop their potentials;
– be productive,
– facilitate poverty reduction and
– promote socio-economic growth and national development.

4. BRIEF HISTORY:
Klikor Senior High Technical School was established in 1992 by the Joint Consultative Committee of Klikor Citizens Union Accra/Asamankese/Ashaiman/Tema as a private secondary school with registration number V/RPCSS/13/92. It was absorbed into the Public System on the 8th of October, 1997.
The school is a co-educational institution and currently five programmes are being offered viz:
(i) General Arts,
(iv) Home Economics and
Location: The school is situated along the main Aflao – Accra trunk road. It is about 2 kilometers from Agbozume and 1 kilometer from Klikor Junction. The entire layout of the school is on the left hand side of the trunk road (when travelling towards Accra) from Aflao and directly opposite Torgbui Satsimadza’s Residence.
Status: The school operates on Hostel and Day basis.
5. MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS
The school, despite the admission of low grade J.S.S. graduates, has been performing excellently in the SSSCE/WASSCE results. Some of the results are as follows:-
These spectacular performances have placed the school appreciably on the league table for schools in Ghana
During the 2008/2009 Regional Games, five(5) students were selected to represent the mid-south zone in the Regional Games. This was as a result of their excellent performances at the Zonal Level.
6. SCHOOL FACILITIES
i. Classrooms: The school has fifteen (15) classrooms;
ii. Laboratories: The school has a computer laboratory.
iii. Library: The school has one.
b. Non – Academic:
Recreational Grounds: The school has a sizeable football park, volleyball court and a handball court.
7. CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The school organizes the following:-
(i) Club meetings
(ii) Sports and games and
(iii) Entertainment programmes – culture drama and music.
(iv) Military Cadet Corps

a. Home Economics: Management-In-Living, Clothing and Textiles, Foods and Nutrition
b. Technical: Woodwork, Technical Drawing and Building Construction, Elective Mathematics
c. Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Elective Mathematics
d. General Arts: Literature-In-English, French, Ewe, Elective Mathematics, Government, Geography, Economics and Christian Religious Studies
e. Business: Financial Accounting, Business Management, Economics and Elective Mathematics
f. Agriculture: General Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Crop Husbandry and Horticulture
Old Students: Though the school is not old, there is an Old Students Association which is very active.
P.T.A. – The school has a vibrant P.T.A. which is ever ready and willing to support the school administration in diverse ways.
Traditional Authority: The Klikor Traditional Council, headed by the Paramount Chief Torgbui Addo VIII, serves as a consultative body on matters concerning land acquisition and encroachment.
District Assembly: The school seeks financial and material assistance from the Ketu South District Assembly.
