- BRIEF HISTORY
Kusanaba Senior High School was opened in January 1991 as a community Day School. It is located in Kusanaba, a predominantly rural community in the Bawku –West District of Upper East Region, eighteen Kilometers (18KM) from a branch to the left of the main high way from Bolgatanga to Bawku at a village called Tilli.

The increase in the number of programmes in the school coupled with the implementation of the Computerized School Selection Programme (CSSP), the school’s enrolment increased astronomically from 250 in 2007 students to 581 in 2010,

- STAKEHOLDERS:
Old boys: the school has an Old boys association, but it is very dormant with respect to contributing financially or materially to the development of the school. However the school administration is trying to reach out to them to help bring them together for the development of the school.
Parent -Teacher Association (P.T.A): the school has an active PTA which meets regularly and contributes to the development of the school. It provided the school’s library with furniture, a two classroom block which is converted into a hostel, and it’s presently building another two classroom block to help solve the pressing need for classroom accommodation.
Traditional Authority: The school is located in Kusanaba traditional area. The school has cordial relationship with the traditional authority, which comes to the aid of the school in times of need. Apart from helping to protect the school land, the traditional authorities also make periodic visits to the school to find out the welfare of students and masters.
The District Assembly: the District Assembly is a principal stakeholder of the school that assists to provide as well as put school infrastructure in good shape. It has in the past three years helped to renovate school buildings.
