4. BRIEF HISTORY OF MOZANO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Mozano Senior High School is an initiative of the Late Prophet Matapoly Moses Jehu-Appiah (Akaboha II), the then Head of Musama Disco Christo Church. Nana Assan III, the then Tufuhene of Gomoa Eshiem released a large track of land for the construction of the school.
The School started as a private institution on 10th February, 1983 with the name Mozano School Complex. The School was absorbed into the public system on 7th October 1993 and had its name changed to Mozano Community Day Secondary School. The vision of the founders was to provide quality, but affordable Second Cycle Education in the immediate environs for the under-privileged boys and girls. Mozano Senior High School is located at Gomoa Eshiem in Gomoa West District in the Central Region of Ghana. Gomoa Eshiem is about twenty-four (24) kilometres from Agona Swedru and thirty (30) kilometres from Apam Junction.
Headmasters
The school has had three substantive headmasters. They are Mr. Ken E. Essien (1993-1995), Mr. Emmanuel K. Tsibu (1995-2008) and Mr. Emmanuel C. Acquah (2008 to date)

8. STAKEHOLDERS
Old Students
The school’s old students are zealous but are relatively young. The school cannot boast of their financial contribution to the school but can proudly say that due to the quality of preparation and training in terms of knowledge, skills and values given by the school, most of them have entered into the universities and other tertiary institutions all over the country. Only few of them are out for their national service.
Parent-Teacher Association (P.T.A.)
The P.T.A. of the school is very vibrant and dynamic. It has been the life wire of the school since its establishment. The P.T.A. has been able to put up the computer laboratory, the assembly hall, the dining hall and most of the classrooms for the school. She also motivates the teachers to put up their best as far as academic work is concerned.
Gomoa District Assembly
Even though Mozano Senior High School was initiated by the Musama Disco Christo Church and the Community, the Gomoa District Assembly has played a key role in its infrastructural development. The Assembly purchased a house which is being used as the headmaster’s residence. It completed a three-classroom block which was started by the M.D.C. Church, which was used temporarily as a Science Laboratory. The District Assembly again roofed a three-classroom block which was started by the M.D.C. Church.
The former Member of Parliament for Gomoa West, Hon. Mrs. Ama Benyiwa-Doe also provided bags of cement and roofing sheets to support many of the school projects initiated by the school. She also donated two sewing machines to the Home Economics Department
