1. VISION

Nkwanta Senior High School, like other schools is making frantic efforts at the   provision of quality education at the pre tertiary level.  We intend to make this School more attractive to basic graduates all over the country by improving on the already progressive academic levels of this fast growing school.

2. MISSION

The purpose of this school is to provide quality education to all Ghanaian residents at the Secondary education level to enable them acquire skills that will develop their potentials.  This we believe will facilitate poverty reduction and promote socio-economic growth and national development.

4. BRIEF HISTORY

This school was opened on 14^th October, 1974 in an abandoned work yard of        Kassardjan Construction Company as a public mixed boarding and day Secondary School

The school has been managed by the following very efficient and visionary Headmasters  over the years:

Location: The school is located in Nkwanta, the District Capital of Nkwanta South District in the northern part of the Volta Region.  Nkwanta is about seven hours drive from Accra.

1. 1. 1^ST Annual Speech and Prize giving Day: 26^th May, 1979 marked the first annual Speech and Prize giving day in this school.

The school’s Old students Association has exhibited passionate concern for  the school’s lack of staff accommodation, library books and other logistics.

1. Parent Teacher Association(P T A)

The Parent Teacher Association has been of much help in the area of pre-financing the school’s developmental and agricultural projects.  The school’s Benz Bus was donated by the P T A.

iii.     District Assembly

The District Assembly, as Co-ordinating Department for all Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs), is in maximum support of the progress of this school. he district assembly is currently constructing a three unit Science Laboratory for the school. Work has come to a stand still but we      have the hope that the laboratory will eventually get completed soon.
