1. VISION:

To be a centre for the development of creative abilities, academic excellence and moral uprightness

2. MISSION:
To provide excellent skills, academic and moral training to Junior High School graduates from the local community and its environs so as to prepare them for tertiary education and the working force of the Nation.
Emphasis is to help students acquire requisite vocational skills in Agriculture and Home Economics as well as Technical skills like wood-work, Building construction and Metal work which will enable them join the nation’s work force with or without further training.

3. CREST AND MOTTO:
The School has a crest with the colours blue and white. The components are an oil palm tree standing for Agricultural education, a hammer on a set square signifying Technical/Vocational education and a book denoting academic education.
The white stands for purity while the blue represents the SKY/THE BEST.
The MOTTO is: CREATIVITY AND PROSPERITY-: The motto therefore means we aim at producing Scholars of Excellence whose foundation is UPRIGHTNESS, HONESTY and PROSPERITY.

4. BRIEF HISTORY-:
Vakpo Senior High Technical School is located at Vakpo Fordome in the Kpando District of the Volta Region. It started in 1975 as a continuation centre which was changed into an Experimental J.S.S. in 1978 (7th Oct, 1978) but ran concurrently until 1988/89 when they were phased out.
In September, 1991 Vakpo Secondary Technical School (now Senior High Technical School) was opened in the same premises under the new Education Reform Programme.
Vakpo Senior High Technical School which started as a mixed day school is now a Mixed Boarding School.
Headmasters:
a. Mr. F. K. Hotor 1991 – 1998
b. Mr. G.N. Adzapeni 1998 – 2004
c. Mr. N. L. Gbesemete 2005 -2010
d. Mr. M. S. Adama-Adziman 2010 to date.

5. MOJOR ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS:
SSCE/WASSCE:
a. The School has been scoring 100% in the SSCE/WASSCE over the years.
b. SORTS AND GAMES-: Students from the School are selected every year to join the Regional team and on the Zonal level has placed third out of eleven schools for four consecutive years.

6. SCHOOL FACILITIES-:
Academic: – There are 15 classrooms, 3 workshops, a Science Lab, Home Economics Lab, and a Library.
Non Academic-:
Administrative Offices, Staff Common room, Canteen, Football field and a Volley ball court are available but a basket and handball courts are under construction.

7. ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES-:
Agriculture: General Agric, Chemistry, Elective Mathematics, Physics, Animal Husbandry, Crop Husbandry, Horticulture;
Home Economics: Food and Nutrition, Clothing/Textiles, G.K.A. Mgt);
Technical: Metal/Wood-work, Building Construction Physics, Mathematics, Technical Drawing;
General Arts: Economics, Geography, Government Business: Accounting, Business Management, Principal of Cost Accounting, Financial. Accounting, Economics

8. CO-CURRICULA ACTIVITIES-:
Farming and Clubs such as Green Earth, Dramma and Debating etc…

9. STAKEHOLDERS-:
The P.T.A. District Assembly, Traditional Council and Old Students are playing their respective roles.
