- BRIEF HISTORY OF SCHOOL:
Zorkor Senior High School formerly known as St. Theresa Senior High School was a community day school in Zorkor under Bongo District in the Upper East Region Ghana. It was established and opened out of desperation and frustration of the Bongo Assembly, parents and qualified but unplaced BECE, 2009 candidates in the traditional area of Zorkor.
The community out of its own resources and resourcefulness and positively supported by the Bongo District Assembly, established the school on 6th. December, 2009 and formally opened it on the 11th. of January, 2010. It had a student population of 82 made up of 43 boys and 39 girls. There were ten (10) teaching staff and 4 non-teaching staff who are natives of the community.
The school has no structures of any kind, but is temporary accommodated in the Catholic Social Center. The social center serves temporary as classrooms, offices and stores, courtesy the Roman Catholic Church, for all its activities.
